Residencies
Choral directors and their ensembles are invited to host Ms. Hanson for a workshop specifically designed to meet their needs. Ms. Hanson views the ensemble experience as a synthesis of vocal technique, rhythmic and pitch precision, diction, phrasing, performance readiness, blend, and synergy between the director and the choir. She encourages singers to look at what they are doing in a new light: the light off the page! For the conductor who wants more out of their community or school choral ensemble - more precision, better vocal technique, more engagement with the music, higher energy, deeper connection between vocal technique and the choral performance - her holistic approach inspires the group, elevating all participants to a higher level of excellence and enjoyment.
Testimonials:
"Years after her residency, students and staff are still talking about
how she was able to offer constructive advice and helpful feedback with
her obvious delight in working with choral directors and their ensembles."
- John Cavicchia, Music Coordinator and Choral Conductor, Western New England
College, Springfield, Mass.
