The 2008/2009 Jane Hanson Productions season will offer tantalizing opportunities for students, educators, performers, and American Idols to increase their level of joy and excellence through the performing arts. That’s right, it’s not just a mission, it’s a slogan! Jane Hanson Productions will be teaming up with the Northampton Community Music Center, the Pioneer Valley Ballet, the Academy of Music, the Chamber Music Series at Wistariahurst Museum, and the Pioneer Valley Symphony. Please read this entire newsletter (875k pdf), cover-to-cover, lovingly dog-earing pages as you go, to find out more.
I look forward to making music with, or at least near, all of you.

2008 Summer Musical Theater Intensive
The 2008 Summer Vocal Music Academy for teens (yup, that works out to S.V.M.A., pronounced “Svuh-maaaahhhh”) was an amazing experience. Solfege Bowl 2008 was a ruthless, brutal battle to the death: Congratulations to The Spinach Spaying Water Wall-E’s of Ms. Hanson’s Closet, winners of the team competition, and A.J. Berube, winner of the individual competition.
